mHealth-enabled User-friendly Light-based Stroke Screening and Assessment in Pediatric Sickle Cell Disease in Uganda
(MULISA means “Illuminate” in Luganda) 

The MULISA project, developed by seven faculty members at Kennesaw State University, aims to reduce stroke risk in Ugandan children with sickle cell disease. It assesses risk factors, develops light-based sensors with an App, educates parents, pilots screening programs, and evaluates new technologies. The project also includes producing a documentary to raise awareness.
